Indian Chemical Corporation is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant / Internal Auditor to join their finance and compliance team in Mumbai, responsible for maintaining strong financial controls, overseeing internal audits, and ensuring statutory and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and management reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Plan and perform internal audit activities covering financial, accounting, and operational processes.
• Review internal controls and identify potential financial, operational, and compliance risks.
• Recommend practical corrective actions and process improvements to address control gaps and identified risks.
• Monitor and support compliance with applicable direct and indirect taxation requirements.
• Ensure timely completion and review of statutory filings, returns, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
• Review accounting transactions, reconciliations, supporting documents, and financial records for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, internal stakeholders, and other professional advisors as required.
• Support management with financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and other finance-related insights.
• Monitor adherence to established accounting policies, financial controls, and company procedures.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and audit trails for financial and compliance activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting systems, controls, and overall financial efficiency.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting, Internal Audit, Taxation, and Statutory Compliance.
• Practical understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and audit processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience in a trading or manufacturing organization will be an advantage.
• Proficiency with accounting, financial reporting, and Microsoft Office tools is preferred.
